Application for Funding

From time to time Tourism Ucluelet assists local community based organizations through funding and sponsorship.  Organizations are required to meet specific criteria when applying for funding or sponsorship from Tourism Ucluelet, and these fall into the following categories:

1. Must be a Ucluelet based business or organization
2. Must have a Tourism Ucluelet membership in good standing
3. The event or request must be in the interests of enhancing, developing or promoting Ucluelet as a tourist destination
4. Sponsorship requests must show deliverable criteria and show how funds have been allocated and spent
5. Funding applications must be accompanied by a profile of the business or organization with at least two references
6. Applications are to be made in writing to the Board of Directors of Tourism Ucluelet and will be considered at a meeting of the full Board, held monthly
7. Applications must be received in writing at least 90 days before the funding is required

To apply for funding or sponsorship by Tourism Ucluelet, please send a detailed application to include:

• A covering letter on company or organization letterhead
• A completed Funding Application Form in hardcopy
• A list of the deliverable criteria to show how funding will be used and accounted for

If sponsorship is granted then the recipient must:

• Ensure that the QR code for the Tourism Ucluelet website is included
• The logo for Tourism Ucluelet must be included and this must conform to the graphic standards and usage guide supplied by Tourism Ucluelet
• All marketing information must carry a link to the Tourism Ucluelet website

The above criteria must be prominent in all advertising and you will be required to send a copy of promotional materials including brochures, rack cards, posters, flyers, tickets and other materials that carry the Tourism Ucluelet brand, website and QR Code to Tourism Ucluelet for approval before publication.

Tourism Ucluelet reserve the right to promote any events or organizations that receive financial support or sponsorship.  Tourism Ucluelet will promote and advertize your event in conjunction with your own marketing and promotional efforts, in line with the overall promotion of Ucluelet through the Tourism Ucluelet Marketing Strategy.

Payments will only be made after ad or artwork has been reviewed by Tourism Ucluelet.
