Ucluelet Aquarium Release Day!

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

Once a year, the staff of the Ucluelet Aquarium enlists the help of small children for the annual release of the aquarium animals. It’s a living example of environmental stewardship, hands-on learning and sustainable tourism. The video below shows some of the volunteers helping the animals return to the sea.

We visited Ucluelet for the first time last year and fell in love with the place! Seeing what you do as a community on this video just makes our desire to go back there even stronger! If it were possible we would live there all the time…who knows what the future will hold. We particularly like how you have involved the children of your community and are providing such good education to them. Well done!!
