Ucluelet Weather

Moderate temperatures make Ucluelet an ideal travel destination year round. Ucluelet's weather is characteristically mild and humid. Moderate temperatures and high precipitation combine to produce a long growing season. This maritime climate, results in a lush temperate rainforest and freedom from extreme temperature changes so common in other parts of Canada.

Activities like hiking, surfing and beach combing can be enjoyed year round.  In the spring and summer provided calmer marine weather for ocean-based activities like sport fishing, kayaking, whale and wildlife viewing.

In winter, Ucluelet is an extraordinary place for Vancouver Island storm watching. To the west, Arctic and subtropical air masses collide over the Pacific Ocean, and tempests come one after another slamming into the island. As many as 15 storms per month hit the west coast during winter.  You will be energized by the power of the Pacific Ocean!
